They're two of the world's most photographed women, and never fail to raise an eyebrow or two when it comes to their penchant for racy attire. 

And Rihanna and Kim Kardashian came together for a good cause as they attended the singer's first-ever Annual Diamond Ball at The Vineyard in Beverly Hills on Thursday night. 

The 26-year-old pop princess positively towered over the diminutive reality star as they enjoyed a good chat as the charity event, held in honour of the Clara Lionel Foundation, before working their magic in front of the camera.

The girls opted for rather different outfits for the occasion, with the Rude Boy hitmaker ditching her usual racy and revealing attire in favour of something a little more elegant.

Displaying her toned curves in all their glory, the Bajan beauty positively smouldered as she hit the red carpet in a breathtaking rose-coloured off-shoulder gown with a dramatic train. 

Although this was a pleasingly graceful and new look for her, Rihanna still managed to show off some cleavage highlighted by a glittering red stone and diamond pendant necklace.

Her tattooed wrist was adorned with a purple bracelet while dark red lipstick lent a dramatic effect to her features.

Rihanna raised the bar by wearing her hair slicked back into a long ponytail.

The event served to benefit the star's own The Clara Lionel Foundation that 'works to improve the quality of life for communities globally in the areas of health, education, arts, and culture,' it's website states.

Rihanna may have been one of the last to arrive, but this bash couldn't start without her.

The Barbadian beauty was also the star performer and she took to the stage in the same dress with a regal quality.

It was also a family affair and Rihanna's beloved grandfather Lionel Brathwaite was also in attendance.

Rihanna seemed to be having a grand time too mingling with such superstar pals as actor Tyrese Gibson, actresses Ellen Pompeo and Salma Hayek and others.

It may have been Rihanna's charity event, held in  he extravagant Vineyard in Beverly Hills, but Kim Kardashian and mother Kris Jenner almost managed  tosteal the spotlight from the singer.

All eyes were on the reality pair as they arrived on the red carpet in rather revealing ensembles on Thursday.

Kim, 34, paid little attention to the colder Los Angeles climate, arriving in a plunging leotard with a black mesh dress and strappy sandals.

Only a floor length satin-style coat helped protect Kim from the chill. 

Clutching a coordinating lacy bag, the star's hair was scraped back into a sleek updo and smokey eye make-up and pale matte lipstick completed the look.

Her 59-year-old mother meanwhile, was rather racy in a low cut double breasted black suit over a sheer lace blouse which showed off a great deal of her cleavage. 

Kris wore bright red lipstick and T-bar black patent heels teamed with  a small textured clutch.

"I [would] think God was doing this for a reason," the reality star, 34, told Elle UK in its January 2015 "Confidence" issue. "He was saying: 'Kim, you think you're so hot, but look what I can do to you.'"
